Director Self-Publishes 4-player Game as Example
Completing a game project and releasing it is arguably one of the hardest tasks for anyone working in the game industry. For large, AAA, studios this period of time has received the dubious title "crunch time". For smaller, indie, studios, there is no less amount of "crunch", there just might be a few less folks affected by it.
In an effort to encoruage his students push through the final steps of release a game, Dr. George Landon, Director of the EKU Gaming Institute, took a working concept for a game and moved it all the way through to the final steps for release. "PARA-BULL-A" was built from a simple mechanic of timing jumps with teamates to avoid abstacles. This platformer style game is accessible for a wide range of players due to its single button control for each player.
