#EKUGameDevTeam starting this Fall

As part of the mission of the EKU Gaming Institute, we will begin full production cycles of video games outside of the standard semester timeframe limitations.  We are looking to build an interdisciplinary team of students with a breadth in both experience and potential necessary to produce a publishable title.

The first title published by the Gaming Institute will be "Choo Choo Spell" (working title) an endless runner where the player drives a train in an effort to collide with letters to correctly spell the longest word possible while jumping over unusable letters.  This game is still a very early concept, so the student team will provide design input in the final core.

We are looking for students with demonstratable skills and interest in 1 or more of the following:

  • Music Composition/Scoring
  • Sound Effects
  • Voiceover
  • 2D Art
  • 3D Art
  • Android Development/Publication
  • iOS Development/Publication
  • Early Elementary Education
  • C# Programming
  • Marketing
  • Playtesting
  • Community Managment

Students will receive course credit for this work by registering for 1-3 hours of CSC 494.  The number of hours will depend on student availablity and skill set.  If you are interesting in joining the project, please email Dr. George Landon (george.landon@eku.edu)

CSC 494: Innovative Problem Solving (1-3)
